GIS / ArcIMS: Reproject California DRG

When using DRGs from California with your standard unprojected data, it is important to note that they will not come in cleanly simply by setting the projection in UTMs, etc, as you would normally with other state DRG data.

There is a way to put a formula in a Word document, similar to how you do it in Excel.

On a number of occaisions I've accidentally locked myself out of an MS Access 2000 DB, enough so that I had to memorize this little trick for re-ng a database into design view after I had turned off the right-click and other display features.

Query Selectively in a Generated Report

Ok, this is more of an annoyance, but I was querying an Access database for a generated report, and had to cut certain date records out of one well record, but leave them in for another.

Colored Command Button in MS Access

You can't change the color of a command button, but you can make it look like you have by following these steps:

1. Add a command button to your form.
2. Set the button's Transparent property to Yes.
3. Create a rectangle the same size as your button, and use the Fill/Back
Color tool (or the Palette tool in version 2.0) to choose a color.
4. Set the rectangle's Special Effect property to Raised.
5. Drag the command button over the rectangle.

Having a rectangle under the command button won't affect its performance.

However, setting its Transparent property to Yes inhibits any caption you might add. You can work around this though by adding a label control to the
top of the two-tiered button.

MS Access: Make Hyperlink in MS Access Table
Posted by: row14 on Thursday, May 30, 2002 - 03:43 PM MST

  MS Access

Want to add a hyperlink to that e-mail address in your Microsoft Access table? It's rather easy, and similar to how you add a regular hyperlink to your table.

First, you will want to change the data type of the table to "Hyperlink" from "Text" (unless you have done this already.)

Next, you'll need to do a little data editing.

For a regular hyperlink, your table entry will look something like this:

www.row14.com#www.row14.com#

(The "http://" is assumed, and you shouldn't need to insert it)

To make the hyperlink an e-mail link, use the following:

yourname@yourdomain.com#mailto:yourname@yourdomain.com#

That should do it. Remember, there is no space between mailto: and the beginning of your e-mail addresss.
